Summer was a distant memory, and the blazing reds and warm golds of Autumn had completely altered the landscape of the city. Emma waddled along the streets happily enjoying the sharp coolness of the october afternoon. She fondly gazed at the shrieking children playing in the park and lovingly patted her swollen tummy.
Incredibly her crazy plan had worked! After seeing Jason off at the airport, and a nerve wracking few days, she was ecstatic to find out she had indeed conceived. Her dream would come true....
The first few months had been a blur of morning sickness, afternoon sickness all day sickness even, and she missed Jason with a fierceness that was almost impossible to bear.
Starting out in her new job as she had planned eventually dulled the sharpness of the longing as the challenges of juggling her nausea and the demands of the new workplace left her with barely any time to dwell on anything. And the added surprise that she was having not one but two babies, that news had thrown her completely off balance, teetering between giddy happiness and nail biting worry.
Now she was at peace. Her ninth month was just beginning, she was counting the days until her little miracles would arrive..
